It is my understanding that the slab floor will not be used but rather that. Mr. Todd will excavate the area and use convent - ional frame floor construction. A shop drawing is to be sub- mitted to check the floor system. 2. Some method is to be made to provide horizontal shear over the 126' overall length. 3.• The structural members are to rate for one -hour fire -re- sistive construction, this includes the columns supporting the. decks. The 4 x 6's do not rate for a fire - resistive time period.. 14. The walls of the tub enclosures are to be in conformance to Section 1711 of the cede,' that is a water resistive backer board is to be used or I.C.B.0. research recommendation #1733.4 can be used. 5. According to the plans these buildings will have to be classified as three stories each and therefore require two exits. However, because of its' design the load would not go over 10, therefore I would recommend that this provision not be enforced as it would serve no real purpose. (Section 3302). Also, 3805 would require wet standpipes be installed, however, if it is agreeable with the fire marshall dry standpipes could be installed in each staircase in lieu of wet standpipes. Other code requirements appear to have been met, the job has been very well done. If we can be of further service please do not hesitate to contact us.
