The test(s) is intended to determine if the backflow prevention assembly is operating in accordance with the manufacturer's listed standards. See attached list for the assemblies which need updated test. Where the test indicates that an assembly must be replaced, the work must be done by a licensed plumbing contractor in accordance with the requirements of a plumbing permit. A subsequent successful test of the new assembly will be required for final inspection approval of the installation. In accordance with the Tukwila Municipal Code and Uniform Plumbing Code Section 603.3.3, the premises owner is required to have the backflow prevention assembly tested by a Washington State Department of Health certifed backflow assembly tester. A test report(s) is required to be submitted to the City within 30 days of this notice. If all backflow assemblies pass the required test, the next test will be one (1) year from the date of the successful test report. You will be notified when to schedule the next test.
