MINUTES
Council President Hernandez called the Committee of The Whole
Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order and lead the audience in
the Pledge of Allegiance.

LAWRENCE, WALLY RANTS, JOE DUFFLE.
JOHN MCFARLAND, City Administrator; MIKE KENYON City
Attorney; ROSS EARNST, Public Works Director; DOUG
MICHEAU, Public Works Coordinator; ALAN DOERSCHEL,
Finance Director; TOM KEEFE, Fire Chief; NICK OLIVAS,
Assistant Fire Chief; RON WALDNER, Police Chief; LUCY
LAUTERBACH, Council Analyst.
City Administrator John McFarland informed the Council the reason
the Mayor was not present tonight was because he was meeting with
the commissioners of Water District #25 to address some rather
critical issues. He would be joining the Council as soon as the meeting
was over.
Mr. Richard Saraka, General Manager, Doubletree Hotel;
representing the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce,
presented a Contract for Services to the Council. Mr Saraka informed
the Council the last Contract for Services with the City was in 1987-
1988. In 1989 the Chamber was undergoing reorganization and was
not prepared to offer sufficient services until now. Mr. Saraka
requested the Council to please review the proposal and give it strong
consideration for services in the near future.
The Council completed review of the 1991 Proposed
Budget.
The Consensus of the Council was to forward the 1991 Budget to the
next Regular Council (12/17/90) for adoption.
The Council agreed the next meeting after December 17, 1990 Regular
Council Meeting will be January 7, 1991, with one -hour being set aside
to discuss SAO. The Council scheduled January 10, 1991 to discuss
SAO specifically.

THE COMMI'1"l'EE OF THE WHOLE MEETING BE
ADJOURNED. MOTION CARRIED.
