2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All mechanical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center
(206/431- 3670).
4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
5: Prior to final inspection a written statement from the roofing contractor shall be required. The statement shall
confirm the fire classification of the roof assembly that was installed.
6: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
7: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap the sanitary
sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks, wells, and other
excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of
this requirement.
9: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the Cityof Tukwila
Permit Center.
10: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building
Department (206- 431- 3670).
11: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.

SET UP: Versatile Roofing has your approval to access your driveway for the delivery of materials
and staging of a container and /or dumpster. If the building owner chooses not to assume liability for
the consequences of having equipment access the property, there may be additional costs.
CLEAN UP: At Versatile Roofing, we take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work
area. All debris and tools will be cleaned -up on a daily basis. Upon completion of your project, a
high- powered magnet will be run through your bushes and driveway to assure all nails, screws, and
debris are removed. All roofing materials will be hauled from your home and disposed of properly.
ROOF DECK PREPARATION: Check roof sheeting for defects and drive in fasteners left after
tear -off. Any damaged areas of the roof deck or existing torch down will be replaced on a time and
materials basis.

withstand ponding water and resists rather than fuels flame. IB
material is a recyclable, environmentally friendly option.
IB SKYLIGHT FLASHING: Membrane flashing and corner
boots will be installed per manufacturer's specifications on all
skylights.
IB VENT FLASHING: Membrane flashings /pipe boots will be
installed on all roof penetrations within the membrane area.
5" TWO -WAY VENTS: Supply and install vents per manufacturers
specifications for proper ventilation between the vapor barriers and
the IB membrane.
CONDUCTOR HEADS: Remove and replace existing conductor
heads. These units attach to the exterior of parapet walls at each
through -wall scupper location and funnel water into downspouts.
THROUGH -WALL SCUPPERS: Remove and replace existing
scuppers with IB approved scuppers. Through -wall scuppers provide
perimeter, flat -roof drainage and can be used alone or in combination
with other drain types. Conductor heads and downspouts will be
inspected and replaced on a time and materials basis.
PARAPET WALL CAP: Install new cap flashing to the top of all
parapet walls. White, black and brown colors are standard, but
custom colors are available at an additional cost. Please ask your
Versatile Roofmg sales representative for details.

TERMS OF PAYMENT: A deposit of 10% will be due upon the signing of the contract. An
additional 40% will be due at the start of the job or when your materials arrive. The remaining
balance is due, in full, within one week upon completion of the project as outlined above. A retainer
of 5% or $500.00 (whichever is greater) may be withheld pending the completion of any checklist
items noted at walkthrough. All deposits and payments made are based on contract total
including applicable sales tax. A 2% monthly fee will be charged to all late payments unless prior
arrangements have been made. All costs accrued in the collection of any delinquent debt, will be the
sole responsibility of the customer. This bid is good through December of 2007.
Acceptance of Proposal: The above prices, specifications, and terms are hereby accepted. Versatile
Roofing Inc. is hereby authorized to do the work as specified. Payment will be made as outlined in
the terms above.
SANITARY FACILITIES: Our work trailers contain bathrooms. Versatile Roofing provides sanitary
facilities on most residential work sites.
DRUG FREE: For your safety and peace of mind, all Versatile Roofing employees are drug free.
PERMITS: Any necessary permits that may be required for the project are not included in this
proposal. Versatile will obtain the required permits and invoice the exact cost to our customer.
ADDITIONAL WORK: Additional work may include, but is not limited to: Additional layers of old
material, dry rot repair, replacement of delaminated plywood, replacing existing skylights and change
orders. Any additional work performed will be charged on a time basis of $62.50 per hour plus

In reviewing our current records the above noted permit has not received a final inspection by the City of Tukwila Building Division.
Per the International Building Code and/or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one or more extensions of time for
additional periods not exceeding 90 days each. Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why
circumstances beyond the applicants control have prevented action from being taken.
In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 08/09/2008 , your permit will become null and
void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees.
