The following are listed in response to the Review Comments that we have received for the subject project from your
department. The responses are listed in chronological order according to the Review Comments received February
8, 2008.

1. This response is to clarify the proposed conditions of the rack storage. The Payless shoe store will have
rack storage within the main sales area over 5 feet 9 inches in height but will not exceed 8 feet in height.
The maximum rack storage height will be at 6 feet 10 inches and therefore will not require engineering
calculations. Per our phone conversation on February 11, it was clarified that the shelves in the office area
are not considered as rack storage since they are mounted on and attached to the walls.
Since all the rack storage for this project is less than 8 feet in height, we are not submitting structural
calculations and will consider the rack storage application complete based on the above information.
