HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0359 - Emergency Expenditures O ORDINANCE NO. 359 1 4 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA PROVIDING FOR THE J`p EXPENDITURE OF MONIES NOT PROVIDED FOR IN THE PRECEDING ANNUAL BUDGET, SETTING OUT THE AMOUNT COi`ISTITUTING THE EMERGENCY FOR SAID EXPENDITURE AND THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF MONEY REQUIRED TO =IELT THE SAME AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY EXISTS. WHEREAS, obligations have been incurred and will be incurred which, in the judgement of the Tukwila Town Council, could not have been reasonably foreseen at the adoption of the preceding annual budget, and WHEREAS, the citizens of the Town of Tukwila, in a special election, voted to advance the Town to a Third Class City, thus making it necessary to publish all ordinances and legal notices as required by Washington State Law, and WHEREAS, in advancing in classification it became necessary and in the best interest of the City of Tukwila to review and re- evaluate the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning ordinances, and WHEREAS, it became necessary to spend additional monies for engineering and drafting in the adoption of the Comprehensive Arterial Plan for the Town of Tukwila, and WHEREAS, additional revenue has been received by the Town of Tukwila, making money available that is needed for current obligations and must be placed in the budget, and WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen for said obligations incurred and to be incurred BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TTJ WILA TOWN COUNCIL as follows: SECTION 1. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage and approval and publication as provided by law.
