Per the International Building Code and/or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. Based on the above, you are hereby advised to: Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or fmal inspection. This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if the project should be considered abandoned. If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one or more extensions of time for additional periods not exceeding 90 days each. Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances beyond the applicants control have prevented action from being taken. In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 07/06/2009 , your permit will become null and void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Please address the following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specifications and /or other applicable documentation. (GENERAL NOTE) PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 11x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size). (If applicable) Structural Drawings and structural calculations sheets shall be original signed wet stamped, not copied.) 1. The common path of travel shall be measured from the most remote point within the office which would be on the opposite side of the room from which the path of egress is shown to start. The common path of egress travel shall traverse to where two separate and distinct paths of egress travel to two exits are available. Where the common path of travel reverses to detour back into the office before turning back to the exit does not qualify as distinct path description. Therefore the point of two separate paths would begin down by where the accessible ramp starts. As a result the path of travel exceeds 75 feet. Revise the floor plan layout to reduce the common path of travel. (IBC 1014.3, 1002, 1014.4.1 & ) 2. Identify means of egress illumination along the path of egress to include emergency illumination at the exits. (IBC Section 1006) 3. Provide occupant calculations for the new tenant space. Calculations shall be a combined calculation of `B" office and "A" conference rooms. (IBC Table 1004.1) 4. The key reference "C" for wall type references a detail 3/9.1. Provide that detail on sheet 9.1. 5. Show an access opening for the large conference room #318 and office #320. 6. Revise cover sheet code references NEC 2002 to show NEC 2005. Should there be questions concerning the above requirements, contact the Building Division at 206 -431- 3670. No further comments at this time.
