These devices are problematic since they fail to provide water at a temperature of at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 5. Failure to have hot water at a minimum temperature of at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit may result in the suspension of your permit and closure of establishment. 6. A handwashing lavatory shall be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit through a mixing valve or combination faucet. 7. The temperature of the wash solution in manual warewashing equipment shall be maintained at not less than 110 degrees Fahrenheit or the temperature specified on the cleaning agent manufacturer's label instructions. 8. If immersion in hot water is used for sanitizing in a manual operation, the temperature of the water shall be maintained at 171 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
