2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
4: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
5: Fire retardant treated wood shall have a flame spread of not greater than 25. All materials shall bear identification
showing the fire performance rating thereof. Such identification shall be issued by an approved agency having a service
for inspection at the factory.
6: There shall be no occupancy of a building until final inspection has been completed and approved by Tukwila building
inspector. No exception.
7: Manufacturers installation instructions shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.
8: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the Cityof Tukwila
Permit Center.
9: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building
Department (206- 431 - 3670).
10: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.

The Building Division has deemed the subject permit application incomplete. To assist the applicant in
expediting the Department plan review process, please forward the following comments.
(GENERAL NOTE)
PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 11x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size).
(If applicable) Structural Drawings and structural calculations sheets shall be original signed wet stamped,
not copied.)
1. Please provide a plan set that is drawn to scale. Reduced drawings shall not be accepted. (IBC 106.1.1)
2. Some of the following information may have been provided on the plans. The following information shall
be identified on the plans as is applies to each kiosk per 2006 IBC 402.5.1 & 402.10:
a. Fire - retardant - treated wood...
b. Foam, plastics complying with heat release rate (see code requirements).
c. Aluminum composite materials flame spread not more than 25...smoke 450 (see code
requirements).
d. Identify distance or clearances with dimensions on the mall corridor floor plan to show
minimum clearance of 10 feet clear exit width to 8 feet height between any projection of a
tenant space bordering the mall and the nearest kiosk etc.
e. Minimum horizontal separation between kiosks or groupings thereof and other structures
within the mall shall be 20 feet. Show dimensions if applicable.
f. All voids under platforms shall be filled with a fire resistant material. Platform construction
shall be of fire resistant treated materials.
