Please address the following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specifications and/or other applicable documentation. Specify type of hurricane ties for roof rafters. 3. Provide details to show connections to the existing building. Specify all straps and/or nailing connections. Show how new roof system shall tie into existing roof system and sheathing. 4. Plan indicates existing hip roof next to new addition. In this case the new roof system shall have over framing, tying new roof framing and sheathing into the existing roof. At all valleys and hips there shall be a valley or hip rafter not less than 2 -inch nominal thickness and not less in depth than the cut end of the rafter. Please clarify and provide details to show roof over framing onto existing roof if applicable. (IRC R802.3) 5. Show a detail that identifies a method of making a positive connection to the existing foundation with the new concrete foundation, i.e. epoxy with steel bolt or reinforcing bars. 6.
