2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
4: All construction shall be done in conformance with the approved plans and the requirements of the International
Building Code or International Residential Code, International Mechanical Code, Washington State Energy Code.
5: Prior to final inspection a written statement from the roofing contractor shall be required. The statement shall
confirm the fire classification of the roof assembly that was installed.
6: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap the sanitary
sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks, wells, and other
excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of
this requirement.
7: Manufacturers installation instructions shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.
8: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.

16, 2008 by our Field Technical Representative Ron Asbury. The roofing system has been installed in
accordance to Firestone's installation guide lines. The Firestone 15 Year Red Shield Warranty has
been issued and is in full affect according to the terms and conditions of the warranty.

Existing Roof System
The existing primary roof system on Lowe's Store No. 10 (Tukwila, WA) consists of 2 3 /4 inch
ISO, on top of a wooden deck (2x6 planks), covered by a modified bitumen cap sheet. The cap
sheet has become delaminated from the rest of the system. Additionally, some areas of the roof
consist only of a vapor barrier on top of the primary deck.
Roof System Update
To repair and insure a warranted solution to the existing roof system's condition, we plan
to reattach the existing roof with the addition of mechanically- attached 60 mil TPO.*
*NOTE: See attached Firestone Building Products Assembly Letter for the above
specified project.

Firestone ISO 95+ GL flat and tapered roof insulation consists of a
closed -cell polyiso foam core laminated to a black glass reinforced mat
facer. Flat and tapered ISO 95+ GL provide outstanding thermal

qualify under the Federal Procurement Regulation for Recycled
Material. Flat and tapered ISO 95+ GL with IsoGard Foam Technology
incorporates a HCFC -free blowing agent that does not contribute to the
depletion of the ozone (ODP- free).

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Insulation shall be neatly fitted to all roof penetrations, projections and
nailers. No more insulation shall be installed than can be covered with
membrane and completed before the end of each day's work or before
the onset of inclement weather.

ISO 95+ GL FLAT AND TAPERED MUST BE INSTALLED USING:
Fasteners and plates, hot asphalt or Firestone approved insulation
adhesives.
For ballasted systems, the top layer of Firestone insulation may

STORAGE AND PRECAUTIONS:
1. Keep insulation dry at all times.
2. Elevate insulation above the deck or ground.
3. Cover insulation with waterproof tarps.

DESCRIPTION:
Firestone UltraPly TPO is a flexible Thermoplastic
Polyolefin roofing membrane that is produced with
polyester weft inserted reinforcement. This heat
weldable TPO membrane is available in .045 mil (1.1
mm) and .060 mil (1.5 mm) thicknesses in 8' (TPO 96),
10' (TPO 120) and 12'4" widths (TPO 148). Additional
thicknesses are available on special orders. Available in
white (tan or gray on special orders), this reflective
membrane is suitable for a variety of low slope
applications.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
1. Firestone UltraPly TPO membrane is installed as
continuous roofing or waterproofing layer on the roof.
Rolls are overlapped (Side Laps and End Laps) prior
to the heat welding of the seam areas.
2. Install the UltraPly TPO Roofing System in
accordance with current Firestone UltraPly TPO
specifications, details and workmanship
requirements.
