Rel core of 250 g/m nonwoven polyester, this unique blend of materials allows the membrane to perform. under extreme stress conditions, maintaining its flexibility and seam integrity. Pike Ply MS-4 is manufactured with white granules for surface protection, reflectivity and aesthetic value. PHYSICAL FEATURES: AREAOFUSE: • As a fully adhered surfacing ply in a modified or hybrid roof assembly, • Flashing membrane for new construction and remedial or maintenance applications. OPV RECEIVED Oa 15 2018 PERMIT CENTEI- INSTALLATION: (The following information Is to be used as a general guideline only. Consult the project specification and your local Hickman representat)ve for specific installation procedures.] Application: Apply HK Rapid Dry Primer to all metal, concrete, and other porous surfaces and allow to dry prior to installation of the roofing membrane and flashing Roofing shall commence at the lowest point of the roof (running rolls perpendicular to the slope) with laps installed so that water flows over, rather than against, the lap. On inclines exceeding 1" per foot, the membrane may be Installed with side laps running parallel to the direction of the roof slope (strapping method) and insulation stops and backnailing are required. Type IV asphalt is recommended. (Refer to Technical Data Sheet; Built -Up Roofing Systems /Nailing Patterns for Steep Slopes for further details). Technical Data Sheet (07/23/07) Page 1 of 3 OCT /16 /2008 /THU 10:13 AM CENTIMARK CORP. Side laps shall be 3" and end laps a minimum of 6 ". End laps must be staggered a minimum of 3 feet Set the membrane and unroll to position. Align the membrane to have 3" side laps and 6" end laps. Stand on the membrane and re -roll one half. Apply the hot asphalt or Pika Ply Adhesive to surface. Important: Install at hot asphalt's labeled EVT. Asphalt temperature should not exceed 475 °F at point of application. A maximum mop lead of 5 ft., starting away from the roll, is recommended Slowly unroll the membrane, taking care to retain the proper alignment When this section of the membrane Is secure, re -roll the unbonded section and install into the adhesive in the same manner. Check all seam laps after the full roll has been applied. When working with mineral surface material, sprinkle white granules into molten bitumen or Pika Ply Adhesive to cover bleed of bitumen If aesthetic improvement Is deslred. COVERAGE RATES: For estimating purposes, when installing with a 3" side lap and 6" end lap, actual coverage per roll is approximately .97 squares. Roll length is 32.8'. Roll width is 39 3/8'. Protect all components of Hickman's assemblies from discharges such as petroleum products, grease, oil (petroleum and vegetable) and constant contact with water in excess of 140 °F_ 5. When ambient temperatures are below 40 °F, Hickman's materials should be kept in a warm area (I.e., 60 °F or higher) and brought to the roof no more than one hour prior to the application. 6. Do not apply directly to the following surfaces unless they are primed with HK Rapid Dry Primer: 1) Stucco: 2) Textured Masonry; 3) Metal 7. Copper flanges may be weathered or coated with an anti- tarnish lacquer. which will impair adhesion. Clean with acetone and dean rags. Prime with HK Rapid Dry Primer before applying flashing membrane. 8. Do not apply flashing membranes directly to fresh mopping eaphalt wlth asphalt mastic, as poor adhesion will result 9.
