Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of this requirement. 8: Manufacturers installation instructions shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection. 9: All plumbing and gas piping work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the Cityof Tukwila Permit Center. 10: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Building Department (206- 431 - 3670). 11: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila shall not be valid. All components are mounted in a weather resistant steel cabinet with a painted exterior. Unit's surface will be tested 500 hours in a salt spray test in compliance with ASTM B117. Cabinet construction allows for all maintenance on one side of the unit. Service panels have lifting handles and are removed and reinstalled by removing one to three screws while providing a water and air tight seal. The indoor air section is complete with fire resistant, permanent, odorless glass fiber material. The base pan has no penetrations within the perimeter of the curb other than the raised 1 1/8" [28.6 mm] high FLD = Furnished by Trane / Installed by Others supply /return openings to provide an added water integrity precaution should the condensate drain back up. The base of the unit has provisions for forklift and crane lifting. General - Downflow Airflow Units will be dedicated downflow airflow. Operating range will be between 115 deg F [46.1 deg C] and 0 deg F [ -17.8 deg C] cooling as standard from the factory. Cooling performance will be rated in accordance with ARI testing procedures. The unit will be factory assembled, internally wired, fully charged with R -410A and 100 percent run - tested before leaving the factory. Wiring internal to the unit will be colored and numbered for simplified identification. Units will be UL January 02, 2008 listed and label, classified in accordance to ANSIZ21.47 for gas fired central furnaces and UL 1995/ CAN /CSA No. 236 -M90 for central cooling air conditioners. Canadian units are CSA certified. Downflow Economizer - Factory Installed This accessory will be factory installed. The assembly includes - -fully modulating 0 -100 percent motor and dampers, barometric relief, minimum position setting, preset linkage, wiring harness with plug and fixed dry bulb control. The economizer arrives in the shipping position and will be moved to the operating position by the installing contractor. All units shall be designed to operate at outdoor ambient temperatures as high as 120 F. Cooling and heating capacities shall be rated in accordance with A.R.I. standards. The heating/cooling unit design shall be certified by the American Gas Association (A.G.A.) or Canadian Standards Association (C.S.A.), specifically for outdoor applications using propane or natural gas. All units shall be designed for outdoor rooftop or ground level installation. Exterior surfaces of all units shall be phosphatized, zinc- coated steel with epozy resin primer and executive beige, baked enamel finish. Casings All panels shall be 20-gauge steel, gasketed and insulated. One -inch, one -pound density foil -faced glass fiber insulation shall be on the heat exchanger section. Same composition mat -faced insulation shall be in the evaporator section. Refrigeration System Refrigeration Controls — Refrigeration controls shall include condenser fan, evaporator fan and compressor contactors, and 24 -volt transformer. Each circuit shall have a separate set of refrigerant controls. (BYC130 to BYC200 shall have two independent circuits.) Safety controls shall include high and low pressure controls and compressor overloads. Compressors — All units shall have 3,600 rpm hermetically sealed compressors. Compressors shall be equipped with over - temperature, over - current and high pressure controls. Crankcase heaters shall be standard on all models. Evaporator Coil — BYC130 to BYC200G units shall have two independent circuits. Coils shall be 3 /8-inch OD seamless copper tubing mechanically bonded to aluminum fins and shall be factory pressure and leak tested at 225 psig. Mechanical Specifications Drain Pan — Evaporator pan shall be internally sealed and insulated with copper drain connection provided for evaporator section. Condenser Coil — BYC130G to BYC200G units shall be dual circuited. Outdoor coils shall be 3/8 -inch OD seamless copper tubing mechanically bonded to aluminum fins. Each coil shall be factory pressure and leak tested at 425 psig. Fans Indoor Air Fans — Belt - driven, forward curved, centrifugal -type fans equipped with adjustable motor sheaves shall be standard. The motor shall be thermally overload protected. Permanently lubricated fan and motor bearings. Condenser Fans — Direct -drive, statically and dynamically balanced propeller fans. Weatherproof fan motors shall be UL listed or C.S.A. certified for outdoor use. All motors shall have built -in thermal overload protection. Filters — One -inch throwaway filters shall be standard on BYC100 -200. Filter rack shall be field convertible from 1" to 2 ". Heating System Gas -Fired Heating Section — BYC models shall provide completely assembled, wired and piped, gas -fired heating systems within the unit. Design shall be certified by A.G.A. or C.S.A. specifically for outdoor application. Threaded gas connections. Heat Exchanger — Shall be embossed, formed and seamed, 18 -gauge aluminized steel. Shall be factory tested for gas leaks. Shall be stress - relieved, free - floating design. Heat exchanger shall be located upstream of cooling coil. Burners — Shall be stamped and seam welded 20 -gauge aluminized steel. 26 Forced Combustion Blower — Shall insure flame stability under varying wind conditions. Shall give higher combustion efficiency and unit location flexibility. Combustion blower motor shall not be in hot airstream. Electronic Ignition System — Pilot shall be lit each time thermostat calls for heat. Flame sensor shall prove pilot flame and turn on main burners. Should a loss of pilot flame occur, the main valve shall close and a spark re- occur within 0.8 second. When the thermostat is satisfied, both pilot and main burner shall be extinguished. Accessories Roof Mounting Curb — The roof curb is designed to mate with unit and provide support and complete weathertight installation when properly installed. The curb shall be constructed of 16- gauge, zinc -clad steel. Curb shall ship knocked down with factory- installed wood nailer strips. The roof curb design shall allow field - fabricated ductwork of accessory concentric supply /return ductwork to be connected directly to the curb. Low Ambient Operation — Standard refrigeration system operation shall be to 30 F. Accessory dampers on BYC100 and two-speed motor on BYC130 to BYC200 models shall provide operation to 0 F. Two-Stage Gas Valve — Optional two-stage gas valve shall allow for 50 percent heating input first stage and 100 percent heating input on second stage. Shall be standard on some sizes. Accessory Filters — Two -inch permanent filters shall be optional. Time Delay Relay — Shall provide a four - minute time delay between starting of the first and second compressor, used on the BYC130 to BYC200 models. Antishortcycle Timer — A lockout timer shall provide a minimum off time of five minutes between compressor cycling. Thru - the -base Utilities Package — Shall accommodate thru - the -base gas, power wiring and control wiring connections. Mechanical Specifications Copper Coils Copper condenser and evaporator coils shall be available as a special. Units with these coils shall have extended delivery cycles. Outside Air Options Downflow Manual Outside Air Dampers — Manually set outside air damper shall provide a fixed outside air quantity from 0 to 25 percent of total supply air. Downflow Economizer (Factory U.S. Domestic Units Only or Field - installed) — Enthalpy - controlled economizer shall be operated through the room thermostat to automatically use outdoor air for free cooling when outdoor air temperature and humidity are at acceptable levels: Automatically modulating outdoor and return air dampers shall maintain proper discharge air temperature into the conditioned space. Adjustable minimum position control shall be standard. Shall have spring return motor. Upon loss of power, dampers shall close shut. Economizers shall offer the energy saving "ultra" low - leak economizer dampers. These dampers reduce damper leakage down to 10 cfm ft.?, one -inch wg differential static pressure. That's less than one percent of nominal unit airflow according to tests completed at The Air Movement and Control Association (A.M.C.A.) Laboratories in accordance with A.M.C.A. Standard 575. Barometric relief shall be included. Horizontal Economizer (U.S. Domestic Models Only) Economizer shall be shipped completely assembled and shall include outside air dampers, return air dampers, enthalpy control, and wiring plug for ease of installation. Spring return shall be another feature of this economizer. Horizontal economizer shall attach directly to the Trane rooftop unit. Please note that horizontal conversion panels must be ordered to complete horizontal applications. Economizer controls shall be fully modulating to maintain proper discharge air temperature into the conditioned space. 27 Horizontal Conversion Panel — Accessory shall be required for conversion to horizontal airflow. Control Options Central Control Panel — Shall be combined standard thermostat subbase with heat, cool, off, fan -auto- and- on position. Four signal lights shall indicate power, pilot outage, dogged filters and reset relay. Power signal shall show green indicating power available to unit. Power signals shall show red indicating power outage. Pilot signal shall show red when gas service is interrupted or there is an electrical ignition malfunction. Filter signal shall show red when filters clog and need replacement. Reset signals shall show red if system is out on any cooling safety controls. Programmable Electronic Night Setback Thermostat — Programmable electronic thermostat shall provide heating setback and cooling setup with 7-day, 5-1 -1, programming capability. 1H /1C or 2H /2C models available. Shall have digital display of time, day, temperature, program status and active stage. Shall be continuous or timed override. Shall have up to 4 temperature adjustments per day.
