Mayor Pro Tem Joan Hernandez called the Special Meeting to order
and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

MOVED BY HERNANDEZ, SECONDED BY MORIWAKI,
THAT THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE BE READ BY TITLE
ONLY. MOTION CARRIED.
Attorney Colgrove read an ordinance of the City of Tukwila,
Washington relating to the waterworks utility of the City, including the
system of sewerage as a part thereof: amending Ordinance No 1337 as
amended by Ordinance No. 1408 and Ordinance No. 1413, providing
for the issuance of $1,030,000 principal amount of water and sewer
revenue bonds, 1990, of the City of the purpose of providing funds to
pay the costs of completing a portion of the system or plan of additions
to and betterments and extensions of the waterworks utility of the City
adopted by Ordinance No. 1337, as herein amended, and to pay costs
of issuing the bonds; fixing the date, form, maturities, interest rates,
terms and covenants of such bonds; providing for the sale and delivery
of such bonds Shearson Lehman Hutton, Inc., Seattle, Washington;
and repealing Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1408 and Sections 3 and 4 of
Ordinance No. 1413.

ORDINANCE NO. 1575 BE ADOPTED AS READ. MOTION
CARRIED.
MOVED BY EKBERG, SECONDED BY LAWRENCE, THAT
AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE THE BOND PURCHASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN SHEARSON LEHMAN HUTTON INC
AND THE CITY OF TUKWILA BE APPROVED. MOTION
CARRIED.
MOVED BY MORIWAKI, SECONDED BY ROBERTSON, THAT
THE SPECIAL MEETING ADJOURN TO THE COMMITTEE OF
THE WHOLE. MOTION CARRIED.
