HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0355 - Storage of Fuel OilAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10 -B,2 of Town of Tukwila Ordinance #223, providing regulations for storage of fuel oil in connection with oil burning equipment. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, as follows: Ordinance #223, Section 10 -B,2 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 10 -B,2. Storage of fuel oil in connection with oil burning equipment shall not be permitted in buildings, all fuel oil tanks shall be buried beneath the ground, with the ex- ception that a 55- gallon drum may be allowed. A second 55- gallon drum may be provided if connected to an approved three -way valve, so that no more than 55 gallons can be discharged at any time, and properly installed as hereinafter provided. A minimum 14- gauge, 7- barrel tank for the storage of fuel oil will be approved for installation above ground if it bears the label of Underwriters' Laboratory, Inc., or any other recognized testing laboratory."
