RE: Permit No. D06 -114
3325 S 116 ST TUKW
Dear Permit Holler:
In reviewing our current records the above noted permit has not received a final inspection by the City of Tukwila Building Division.
Per the International Building Code and/or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 -431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one or more extensions of time for
additional periods not exceeding 90 days each. Extension requests must be in wrldnr and provide satisfactory reasons why
circumstances beyond the applicants control have prevented action from being taken.
In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 02/11/2007 , your permit will become null and
void and any further work on the project will require a new pennit and associated fees.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
hall,

Building Division Review Memo
Date: April 7, 2006
Project Name: DUX, permit applications
Application #: D06 -114
Plan Reviewer. Ken Nelsen, Senior Plans Examiner
No further comments at this time.
Tukwila Building Division
Ken Nelsen, Sr. Plan Examiner
An initial architectural Building Division plan review has been conducted on the subject
permit application. Please address the following comments with revised plans and /or
other applicable documentation.
1. The proposed training / paint booth room is required to be separated from the remaining
building occupancies by a minimum of one hour construction per I.B.C. Section 302.1.1.
Regardless that the I.B.0 does not require rated separation for the paint room from the
"F" tenant occupancy, the adjoining occupancies of the building and the remaining "B"
occupancy within the subject tenant space will require separation. Revise the plans to
show the rated separation and provide details of the materials used.
2. The permit application lists only the construction of the training / paint room. However,
the floor plan also shows a Q C office construction. Please clarify if the QC office is a
portion of the intended scope of work.
3. The cross section wall references on the sheet A-2 floor plan are keyed to the same
sheet A -2, the cross sections are shown on A-3. Revise these key references to the
applicable details on sheet A-3.
4. For the purpose of showing compliance with the Washington State Energy Code, identify
the proposed ceiling lighting in the new training room and QC office. Existing Tight may
not be increased and / or the replacement lighting is limited to the watts per square foot
allowances of W.S.E.C. Chapter 15.
