AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE 1984 BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1310
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 22, 1983, TO
PROVIDE FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF UNANTICIPATED LOCAL
RETAIL SALES AND USE TAX REVENUES FOR INSTALLATION OF
STREET LIGHTING ON ANDOVER PARK EAST FOR APPROXIMATELY
1788 FEET NORTH OF SOUTH 180th STREET AND ESTABLISHING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, at the time of adoption of the 1984 budget, the amounts of
revenues to be collected from various sources could only be estimated,
resulting in the need to supplement the budget to provide for appropriation of
excess and unanticipated revenues, and
WHEREAS, the City has received and will be receiving funds over and
above the estimate for local retail sales and use tax revenues, and
WHEREAS, the South 1788 feet of Andover Park East is without street
lighting and does not provide adequate lighting for nighttime traffic, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it desirable to appropriate the unan-
ticipated local retail sales and use tax revenues for street lighting on
Andover park East for approximately 1788 feet north of South 180th Street,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Final budget for the fiscal year 1984, as adopted by
Ordanance No. 1310, passed by the City Council on December 22, 1983, is hereby
amended by increasing revenues to the Street fund, No. 103 313 100, by the sum
of $48,000.00, such revenues having been received as unanticipated local
retail sales and use tax revenues, and by increasing appropriations from the
Street Fund for the following line items:

Section 2. Ordinance No. 1310, passed by the City Council on

December 22, 1983, is hereby further amended by revising the summary of totals
of estimated revenues and appropriations for each separate fund and the aggre-
gate total of all such funds combined incorporated in said ordinance to
reflect the foregoing increases in revenues and appropriations as set forth in
Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. The Treasurer /Finance Director is hereby authorized and
instructed to effectuate the necessary changes to the 1984 budget and to make
all necessary and appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to
reflect the increases to revenues and appropriations as set forth in this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5)
days after passage and publication as provided by law.
