RE: Request for Extension Denial
Plumbing /Gas Piping Permit No.. P4G08$227'
Dear Mr.Layng:
re
me r t Jack Pace, Director
This letter is in response to your written request for an extension to Permit Number PG08 -227.
The Building Official has reviewed your letter, considered your request, and researched the
history of your permits. He has been determined that an extension will not be granted and the
permit will expire on January 31, 2011.
His recommendation is to apply for a new permit and pay the associated fees (if applied for
within one year of expiration it will be a discounted fee) once you are ready to continue plumbing
work and call for the final inspection.
If you should have any questions, please contact our office at (206) 431-3670.
Sincerely,
fer Marshall

Concerning plumbing permit number PG -08 -227. I would like to request a 180

drywall and flooring however I will not be in a position to request a final
plumbing inspection before the deadline. My pace is slow due to the demands
of my day job but I hope to be ready to finish plumbing this summer:

Concerning plumbing permit number PG -06 -277. I would like to request a 180

Thankfully I still have a job and that takes most my time so I am unable to
request a plumbing inspection by the aug. 4th permit expiration date. I am
currently at siding stage followed by sheetrock and paint in the next few
months. I anticipate being in a position to request a plumbing final within
6 months:

Permit# PG08 -227
Bob Bennedicto
I am writing to request an extension be granted for plumbing permit
PG08 -227. The main project (D07 -094) has been moving much slower than
anticipated due to adverse winter weather and the demands of my day
job. The framing portion of the job is nearly complete with the roof
being passed off days ago. I anticipate being able to move on to the
waste and drain portion of the plumbing late march or early april and
will have ample time to receive a plumbing inspection if given a 90 day
extension.
Thank you for considering my request

RE: Permit No. PG08 -227
5320 S 137 ST TUKW
Dear Permit Holder:
In reviewing our current records the above noted permit has not received a fmal inspection by the City of Tukwila Building Division.
Per the Uniform Plumbing Code and/or International Fuel Gas Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or fmal inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the Plumbing and/or Gas Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of time for an
additional period not exceeding 180 days. Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances
beyond the applicants control have prevented action from being taken.
In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 03/08/2009 , your permit will become null and
void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
c
