AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHING- TON, AMENDING THE 1984 BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1310 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 22, 1983, TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF UNANTICIPATED LOCAL RETAIL SALES AND USE TAX REVENUES FOR STORM DRAINAGE REHABILITATION ON ANDOVER PARK WEST AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, at the time of adoption of the 1984 budget, the amounts of revenues to be collected from various sources could only be estimated, resulting in the need to supplement the budget to provide for appropriation of excess and unan- ticipated revenues, and WHEREAS, the City has received and will be receiving funds over and above the estimate for local retail sales and use tax revenues, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to eliminate the annual flooding of Andover Park West in the vicinity of South 168th Street and has budgeted certain monies within the Street Fund for such purpose, and WHEREAS, a study of the flooding problem has been made by Alpha Engineers, as consultants to the City, and a feasible preliminary design has been prepared, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it desirable to ap- propriate the unanticipated local retail sales and use tax revenues for storm drainage rehabilitation on Andover Park West prior to the 1984 -1985 flood season, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Final Budget for the fiscal year 1984, as adopted by Ordinance No. 1310, passed by the City Council on December 22, 1983, is hereby amended by increasing revenues to the Street Fund, No. 103 313 100, by the sum of 30,000.00, such revenues having been received as unantici- pated local retail sales and use tax revenues, and by in- creasing appropriations from the Street Fund for the fol- lowing line items: Amount Street of Increased Fund No. Item Name Appropriation 103/01 541 401 41 11 PSE and E 7,000.00 103/01 541 402 41 11 Construction Engineering 2,000.00 103/01 541 403 63 11 Construction 7 Section 2. Ordinance No. 1310, passed by the City Council on December 22, 1983, is hereby further amended by revising the summary of totals of estimated revenues and appropriations for each separate fund and the aggregate total of all such funds combined incorporated in said ordinance to reflect the foregoing increases in revenues and appropri- ations as set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. Section 3. The Treasurer /Finance Director is hereby authorized and instructed to effectuate the necessary changes to the 1984 budget and to make all necessary and appropriate line item entries and adjustments in order to reflect the increases to revenues and appropriations as set forth in this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after passage and publication as pro- vided by law.
