2: No changes shall be made to applicable plans and specifications unless prior approval is obtained from the Tukwila
Building Division.
3: All permits, inspection records and applicable plans shall be maintained at the job and available to the plumbing
inspector.
4: Piping in the ground shall be laid on a firm bed for its entire length. Trenches shall be backfilled in thin layers to

Specifications & Estimates
Best Plumbing is pleased to quote and perform the following work as discussed during a site visit.
• Saw cut and demo of asphalt as discussed, haul away debris.
• Excavate out from existing manhole on South East comer of property up to 235' South to reroute 6" main.
01 Use steel plates daily over driveway for access to back parking lot while repair process is being performed.
Replace up to 235" of 6" bellied side sewer piping with 6" sch 40 well casing while connecting all existing 4"
Cast Iron soil pipes exiting apartments. Also install clean outs at every 4" lateral to surface for future needs.
Run 6" main at 1% because of grade between clean out and manhole is only 38" which makes 1.5% grade.
To get 2% In a 230' run is 56" therefore we have no other option but to run piping at 1 %.
• Use jetter to clean out roots and debris downstream fro manhole to restore proper flow.
• Gravel in piping to spring line, obtain city of Tukwila inspection.
• Backfill and compact trenches. .
• Any landscape removed by Best Plumbing will not be replaced_
• Replace asphalt only between manhole and North East comer of building/ driveway. Also asphalt between
South manhole and South East corner of building.
• Also replace concrete 12'x12" catch basin in upper parking lot
• PRICE INCLUDES PERMIT FEES TO CiTY OF TUKWiLA lllll
General Notes
• Best Plumbing does not guarantee materials or fixtures provided by others.
• Best Plumbing is not responsible for condition of existing plumbing and existing code violations.
• All work performed during normal business hours.
• Assumes no underground utilities will obstruct our repair, if any conditions exist Best Plumbing will notify
property owner before proceeding with additional work.
• Personal property and vehicles are to be moved out of the work areas during pipe replacement.
• Any changes and/or work not listed above will be performed at extra cost to the owner and/or contractor,
• New side sewer line will be HDPE or PVC well casing piping.
• Does not Include side sewer permits. Permits are required by Best for the intended work; however these
charges are not included in the cost of proposal and will be billed separately as additional cost to customer
• Above and beyond the proposal for work.
Price & Payment Method
We hereby propose to furnish material and labor complete according to the above specifications. ($22,500.00) Twenty two
thousand five hundred dollars. Deposit of 50%; on all invoices including progressive draws for labor and materials billed by
the106 of the following month. Purchaser will be responsible for payment of any late fees, interest charges at 1.5% per month
and upon default, will be subject to pay reasonable attorney fees in the event collection action or suit occurs. No retainage To
be withheld.

In reviewing our current records, the above noted permit has not received a final inspection by the City of
Tukwila Building Division. Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform
Plumbing Code and /or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized
by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work
authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180
days. Your permit will expire on 08/18/2009.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
1) Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final
inspection. Each inspection creates a new 180 day period.

2) Submit a written request for permit extension to the Permit Center at least seven (7) days before it is
due to expire. Address your extension request to the Building Official and state your reason(s) for
the need to extend your permit.
The Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of up to 180 days. If it is
determined that your extension request is granted, you will be notified by mail.
In the event you do not call for an inspection and /or receive an extension prior to 08/18/2009, your permit will
become null and void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees.

commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the Plumbing and/or Gas Code does allow the Building Official to approve one extension of time for an
additional period not exceeding 180 days. Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances
beyond the applicants control have prevented action from being taken.
In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 03/03/2009 , your permit will become null and
void and any further work on the project will require a new perrnit and associated fees.
