TON, RELATING TO TRANSFERS WITHIN THE ANNUAL
5 BUDGET, PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY TO CONTRACT
OR PURCHASE GOODS AND SERVICES AND RELATING
TO PURCHASE OF UNBUDGETED FIXED ASSET ITEMS,
l 1ZZ�7 AND REPEALING ORDINANCES 1072, 1166 AND 1177.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to RCW 35A.33.120, transfers
within a Department or Division of the separate funds of the
annual budget shall be by formal motion of the City Council.
Request for transfers shall be made in writing to the Mayor
by the department head seeking the transfer. If the Mayor
approves, he shall present the request to the City Council
for action.
Section 2. No salary shall be increased above the
amount provided therefore in the annual budget and specified
in the adopted salary plan of the City.
Section 3. When provided for in the annual budget,
the Mayor is authorized to call for bids on public works
projects or procure goods or professional services when the
project or procurement does not exceed $25,000.00.
Section 4. Capital equipment is defined as costing
at least $500.00 and having a useful life of at least two
years. Any unbudgeted capital equipment or fixed asset item,
including components or services of items shall be approved
by the City Council prior to purchase. Items between $100.00
and $500.00, previously considered capital equipment, will be
approved by three affirmative votes of the respective Council
committee assigned to the requesting department.

Section 5. The following Ordinances are hereby re-
pealed: 1072, 1166 and 1177.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication as pro-
vided by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, at a regular meeting thereof this 7 1 day of
