Tukwila Building Division Allen Johannessen, Plan Examiner A Building Division conducted a plan review on the subject permit application. Please address the following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specifications and /or other applicable documentation. PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 11x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size). (Drawing and structural calculations sheets shall be original signed wet stamp, not copied.) a) Item (3): referring to the LRP panels, the change was a reference note on the plan to "SEE 8" CONCRETE SHEER WALL DETAIL ". The structural drawings (S-1) show the addition of an additional detail (34) which is a duplication of detail (19), not the concrete sheer wall detail. In addition the structural engineering calculations indicate an 8" concrete shear wall detail. Revise the necessary sheets to show accuracy and consistency where the details are the correct details required and correctly cross reference the engineering calculations. Show the correct detail on the structural plan (S-1). b) Item (4): maybe to clarify better where the "plan" detail is indicating "16 RISERS - 9.5" TREADS" is not consistent with the Typical Stair Detail. The ooncem here is the difference of the distance reaching one level to the next with the plan design shows only allowing a min. distance of 9.5" steps vs. the required 10" min. steps. The difference is resulting in about 4" each direction and may need some consideration in the framing design. Please clarify and make reference to the correct minimum size of steps at 10" per the current code requirements and as shown in the Typical Stair Detail. (R311.5.3.1 & R311.5.3.2) Should there be questions conoeming the above requirements, contact the Building Division at 206-431- 3670. No further comments at this time.
