CALL TO ORDER:
Committee Chair Duffie called the meeting to order at 5 : 3 0 p.m.

A . Ordinance: Adoption of the 2014 Edition of the National Electric Code
Staff is seeking Council approval of an ordinance that would adopt the 2014 Edition of the National
Electrical Code with Washington Cities Electrical Code amendments. The Washington State
Building Code Council adopted the 2014 Edition with a n ef fective date of July 1, 2014, and
a doption of this ordinance will bring the City in line with the state code. Staff described certain
changes between the new and old codes, and t he Committee requested that the informational
UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. FORWARD TO
memo be expanded to include this information.
