In the north footing, an existing grade beam ties into an existing below grade stem wall. At both locations the stem wall appears to be tied to existing isolated column footings. 3. The conditions encountered are somewhat consistent with those assumed detail 2 on S /3; except there are large existing footing supporting the stem wall. 4. The soil at the outside edge of the footing probes adequately for the design soil bearing value of 1500 psf (pounds per square foot).
