INTRODUCTION: - EASY -UP' is the registered trademark for a Medium -Duty Steel Storage System designed for bulk storage,
catwalks and mezzanines. Cross Members are used to restrain the posts and form an endframe. Double
hooking beams are installed top and bottom to establish rigidity ( safety clips are installed to prevent beam
clips from disengaging). Beams or shelf clips are required to support the metal or wood shelves.
One piece impact resistant and squared for strength with
rounded comers for safety. Easyup 7000 posts are
slotted on 2` centres for Beams and holes on 6' centres
for back to back bolting, wall anchoring or for aid in Beam
positioning. For High -Rise Systems or 3 Tier
Mezzanines, Posts can be doubled up at lower levels for
increased Toad capacities. Easyup posts are
slotted on 1" centres for added adjustibllity.
Are `Z' shaped, with a patented Safety Locking Tab
which can be unlocked again to Interchange sizes and
adjust depths.
Double -Hook Beams on top and bottom provide complete
Iateral•rigidity without the interference and cost of
braces. Six types of Beams are available from single to
double and tnple- hooking extra heavy duty Beams, to
match shelf load requirements with minimum Beam size.`
•
are re- intorceabte with Shen Supports and Tie Bars.
Particle Board Shelves [raw or painted] offer strength
with economy.
Wire Mesh Shelves allow passage of air, light and water
and will not retain dust and debris.
Painted Full Size Steel Shelves provide the versatility
of binning and surtace durability.
6" Galvanized Steel Panels supply extra strength for
heavy toads and may be grouped in multiples of 6' for
uncommon depths.
TEST RESULTS: Easy - Up load charts have been prepared by qualified engineers for use by engineers and architects In
. evaleating the load capacities for standard storage and mezzanine Installations. The strength data have
been obtained from the results of independent test carried out by the CM( Department at Queens
University, Kingston Ontario Canada
1. Conventional formulae cannot be relied upon to give accurate strength data for the Lull range of
applications of this gauge sections.. Thus the use of Easy -Up load tables are recommended.
2. Design values with a higher factor of safety can be obtained by multiplying recommended strengths
by the ratio of published to desired factors of safety.
3. Intermediate values may be obtained by Interpolation. Extrapolation is not recommended.
