Not only are we not allowed two, but we must demonstrate "need" for even one sign to be permitted. This, of course, sends me back to the drawing board to rethink our signage for the entire Fort Dent Two project. It is not our desire to locate a building sign on all four faces of each building which is allowed by code. We want to keep signage simple and low key. Before I spend a lot of time having a new sign designed, please take a look at the attached plan and answer a couple of questions for me. 1. Would the City approve a lot line adjustment with the property line as shown on the attached map? This lot configuration would permit signage on each lot. 2. Would we be permitted a shared directional sign for both lots to be located on the Fort Dent Two site (as shown) or would this be considered an off - premise sign for the Fort Dent Three building? I would appreciate your answers to these questions as soon as possible. Ann Siegenthaler has requested that 1 inform her of our intentions by tomorrow, 5/8/91. The design for each sign would be identical except for the building name and address. The typical design is enclosed as Exhibit A. The approximate locations for installation of the signs are noted on the attached site plan. See Exhibit B. A color rendering will be available for review prior to the hearing date. As part of the sign approval process, we would complete a lot consolidation combining the two properties into one lot.
