Adjournment Next Meeting: TBA For More Information contact Stephanie Gardner at 206-767-2342 ARTS COMMISSION MINUTES Wғ; r t ¦’ Ò‰ÞzŒ /š’’Ò“z·ä /;“·;© Call to Order : Arts Commission Chair, Trisha Gilmore called the meeting to or Attendance : Commissioners Cynthia Chesak, Brian Kennedy, Trisha Gilmore Staff Stephanie Gardner Parks and Recreation Approval of Minutes : Minutes from the May 6, 2014 meeting were unanimously approve Citizen Comment: There were no Citizen Comments Business Items Military Road Play Recap: Cynthia Chesak provided a re -cap of the Military Road play by Foster High School Students. azŒz·©ä wš7 was an original play about the Duwamish Valley during 1855 to 1 depicted the life of homesteaders at that time and the reasoning further depicted how the creation of Military Road changed the l the greater Seattle area. The script was a collaboration of Fos playwright, Rachel Atkins. Performances were held on May 22 an Center. Performances went very well. The entire process of dev and performing was a wonderful experience for students. Tukwila Village Art Selection: Brian Kennedy reported he attend well, he was able to work with the review team to review three a will be at Tukwila Village. KCLS Art Selection: The KCLS Tukwila Library artist selection meeting was held on May 19, 9:3 the Tukwila Community Center. Brian Kennedy attended the meetin th 18 Annual Tukwila Days Art Show: Stephanie shared that the show wa artists presenting their work. It calls to formally recognize individuals who have demonstrated pride in ou upkeep of the exterior of their residence and surrounding ground only be considered by nomination of a City Council, Arts Commission or Parks Commission member.
