This permit is granted pursuant to the Shoreline Management Act of 1971 and
nothing in this permit shall excuse the applicant from compliance with any other
federal, state or local statutes, ordinances or regulations applicable to this
project, but not inconsistent with the Shoreline Management Act (Chapter 90.58
RCW).
This permit may be rescinded pursuant to RCW 90.58.140(8) in the event the per -
mittee fails to comply with the terms or conditions hereof.

The Board of Architectural Review (BAR) conducted a review of the request on
May 12, 1988, and approved the proposed project.

We received the determination of nonsignificance for the con-
struction of an office building by the Castillo Company. Al-
though there is no comment period on the DNS, we have the
following comments for your consideration.
1. As noted in the checklist, a shoreline substantial devel-
opment permit is required since the site is bounded by the
Green River. The project must be consistent with the Tukwila
Shoreline Master Program, with particular attention given to
the 40 foot river management zone.
2. The checklist indicates a permanent storm drainage system
and pollution control devices will be installed to control
and clean runoff before it enters the Green River. How will
these facilities be maintained in future years? Would the
city assume maintenance responsibility? If not, there should
be a bond posted by the applicant /developer to ensure that
future maintenance will be done at specified intervals.
3. If permits or approvals are required from other agencies,
this DNS should have had a 15 -day comment period as required
by WAC 197 -11- 340(2).
