Accordingly, we have removed this application from the Planning Commission agenda of 23 June 1983. We sug- gest that you proceed to file your application for grading and drainage permits with the Central Permit System staff when ready. The Attorney's reasoning is that Motels are permitted outright in the M -1 zone by virtue of the fact that motels as a permitted use in C -2 cascade to M -1. As long as the activity contemplated under the proposed amendment is allowed outright in M -1, as a parking area is, the old use permit may be considered inoperative and not subject to amendment. None of the conditions imposed in the prior CUP (79 -5 -CUP) were formalized by developer's agreement. Accordingly, the notice of public hearing which was to have appeared in the Record- Chronicle on 10 June 83 was withdrawn before publica -•- tion, and follow -up letters of cancellation were sent to those listed on the 300' mailing roster.
