The meeting was convened at 2:09 P.M. in City Hall Conference Room. #3 by Acting Committee Chairman Mark Caughey. Committee members in atten - dance were Fire Marshall Jim Hoel and Public Works Director Ted Uomoto. ITEM 1: APPLICATION 80- 32 -SS: (Walter F. Frey) Mr. & Mrs. Frey were present to speak on behalf of the application. The Committee discussed the topography of the proposed platting site, with specific concerns about access to proposed Parcel 4. The Freys stated that their principal intent at this time is to complete the 2' wide adjustments indicated between existing Parcels 2 &- 3, and 3 &'4. They also noted that they did not wish to extend access to proposed Parcel 4 along the westerly edge of the total parcel. After discussion, it was agreed by all present that the Frey's immediate need to complete the 2' wide boundary adjustment could best be done by the B.L.A. method, rather than short -plat. Application 80 -32 -SS was then withdrawn by the petitioners. The Committee adjourned at 2:36 P.M. At that time, the following application will be reviewed: ITEM 1: 80 -32 -SS -- Walter F. Frey The applicant proposes to create 4 parcels, ranging from 7600 sq. ft. to 12000+ s.q. ft., from 3 existing parcels. The pronosed segregations seem to conform to applicable zoning regulations, insofar as existing residences on the property are concerned. Our principal concern is with the accessability of proposed Parcel 4. Due to the extreme topography of this site, it is doubtful that 55th Ave. South will ever be extended northward from its present terminus at South 140th St. to serve Parcel 4. No provision is made across Parcel I for an access easement between Parcel 4 and 56th Ave. South. Since adequate access to public streets is a criteria of approval for Short Plat Appli- cations, this matter will have to be resolved by the Committee at its next meeting.
