MOVED BY MORIWAKI, SECONDED BY HARRIS, THAT THE
PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION
CARRIED.
City Attorney Hard read a resolution of the City of Tukwila, Wash.,
fixing a date for a public hearing to consider adoption of an
ordinance establishing a moratorium on all development on certain
property within the City.
MOVED BY MORIWAKI, SECONDED BY HARRIS, THAT
RESOLUTION NO. 1118 BE ADOPTED AS READ.*
Council Member Hernandez asked if the moratorium covers
grading and filling. Council Member Robertson commented that
the resolution should also cover grading and clearing issues and
be extended to cover property that does not currently have a
permit.
Mayor Van Dusen reminded Council that this resolution only sets
the public hearing date for November 13.
*MOTION CARRIED.
Council Member Harris requested that all residents be notified.
COUNCIL MEMBER DUFFIE ARRIVED AT THE MEETING.
MOVED BY MORIWAKI, SECONDED BY HARRIS, THAT THE
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL ADJOURN.
MOTION CARRIED.
