The Committee, upon your agreement to waive the time requirement, tabled a decision on the application to allow you time to pursue alternate means of access. As you will recall, the primary concerns of the Committee were 1) northerly extension of 53rd Avenue at 40 -foot width, and 2) minimum turning radius for public safety vehicles (32.5 feet). This office will hold your appli- cation in abeyance for sixty (60) days. If, at the end of that period, you have not requested (in writing) another meeting of the Committee, the Com- mittee will take formal action to deny the application. Should you have any questions or desire to discuss this matter, please contact me at your convenience at 242 -2177. SHORT SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE Meeting was opened by Mr. Crawley at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Daryl Bugge, applicant, was also present. Short Plat: Bugge Mr. Williams stated the legal descriptions had not been reviewed as yet. Mr. Crawley indicated that the proposed private access easement is far too narrow to provide adequate access for public services. Fire Depart- ment needs a minimum of 32.5 -foot radius on corners. Mr. Crutchfield pointed out the location of this parcel in relation to several other larger parcels which do not have appropriate access. Pointed out that this parcel is critical in terms of future circulation patterns and development of nearby vacant lands in the future. Suggested 40 -foot public right -of -way aligned as an extension of 53rd Avenue South. Mr. Williams and Mr. Crawley agreed; otherwise would have no choice to deny the short plat as proposed. Mr. Bugge agreed to pursue negotiations with adjacent properties to determine feasibility of extending 53rd Avenue. Motion by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Crawley and carried to table the decision on this short plat to allow Mr. Bugge to pursue alternate means of access. cc: Daryl Bugge OF.
