The Highway Department is planning for several highway: maintenance projects over -
lapping into Shoreline Management areas. The project consists of replacing missing
and damaged traffic lane markers.
It appears that portions of the work planned may be located in a Shoreline Manage-
ment area under your jurisdiction. Due to the maintenance nature of the work plan-
ned, the project does appear exemptible from the permit requirements of the Shore-
line Act.
A copy of the plans are sent to indicate the areas of concern. Please review the at-
tached plans and furnish this office a letter indicating if this project can be exempted
from the permit requirements of the State Shoreline Act.
