AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 251 BY ADDING TO CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4-'14A.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 251 be amended by adding to
Chapter 4, Section 4 -14A.
CHAPTER 4 LAND USE DISTRICTS
Sections 4 -14A
District P -F PUBLIC FACILITIES
DEFINITION:
The Public Facilities District includes that land and /or pro erties
reserved for ultimate general public use, accomodation, and/or benefit.
RESTRICTIONS:
No building or premises shall be hereafter devoted to use, and no
building shall hereafter be erected or structurally altered, unless
otherwise provided for in this Ordinance, except for one or more of
the following uses:
1. Schools, public and private.
2. Hospitals and sanatoriums, public and private, except those
used for inebriates, insane, and mental diseases. /
3. Institutions for educational, philanthropic, and eleemosynary
uses other than correctional.
4. Libraries, art galleries and museums.
5. Governmental office buildings, including Federal, State, County
and Town or their governmental subdivisions.
6. Parks, playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball grounds and other
athletic or recreational uses or buildings.
7. Auditoriums and meeting halls, public.
EXCEPTIONS:
Other uses, not listed above, may be permitted For limited, specified
terms, upon issuance of a use permit authorized by two thirds affir-
mative vote of the Town Council after some recommendation by the
Planning Commission, and a duly advertised public hearing before the
Council.
Provided:
1. Such use shall be consistent with the Cpmprehensive Plan and
the objects and purposes of this Code.
2. Any building which may be subsequently erected or structurally
altered in this district and any topographic changes, equipment
storage or operation resulting from this permitted use shall be
removed, revised and cease functioning within such district or
a portion thereof when and if that portion of such district
shall be declared by a majority vote of the Town Council to be
desirable for an immediate or Forthcoming use permitted above,
as described herein, or the use permit is revoked for any
other reason or cause.
3. Any exceptions permitted in accordance with the terms of this
section are subject to the same restrictions contained in
Chapter 4 -12, District C -M, industrial park, notwithstanding
that a use under permit may be for a term of limited duration.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the Town Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 11th
day of December, 1961.
