Mayor Van Dusen called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila
City Council to order to deal with the Interlocal Agreement
with King County for police services in the Foster, Riverton,
and Thorndyke annexation areas.
JOE H. DUFFIE; MARILYN STOKNES, Council President; JOAN
HERNANDEZ; DENNIS ROBERTSON; CLARENCE MORIWAKI.
John McFarland, City Administrator, reported that the
agreement provides for one officer and patrol car for twenty
four coverage of the Foster, Riverton and Thorndyke annexa-
tion areas for a total sum of $97,225. It also provides that
in the event the County enters into any agreement with the
future cities of Sea -Tac and Federal Way, the City of Tukwila
has the right to renegotiate this agreement.
MOVED BY ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY STOKNES, THAT THE MAYOR BE
AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE THE INTERLOCAL COOPERATION ACT
AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY. MOTION CARRIED.
MOVED BY MORIWAKI, SECONDED BY ROBERTSON, THAT THE SPECIAL
MEETING OF THE TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL ADJOURN. MOTION CARRIED.
