Description of Incident
On 10 - 10 - 14 , at approximately 1905 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of two
male subjects fighting outside Westfield Mall. Shortly after the initial dispatch , it was
reported that one of the males had stabbed the other in the chest, and the male suspect
had fled on foot.
Officers arrived to find a male victim that had sustained a stab wound. Aid and Medics
responded and attended to the victim. He was subsequently trans ported to Valley
Medical Center for treatment.
Officers were able to obtain a description of the male suspect and direction of travel.
While Tukwila officers were searching for the suspect, they were directed to the stock
room of a department store inside the Mall. When they entered the store, they
encounte re d a male subject matching the description , and took him into custody after a
struggle with arresting officers .
During a search of the suspect , a knife was recovered that is believed to be the weapon
used in the assault.
The incident is still under investigation by Major Crimes Unit Detectives.
