Seattle, Washington 98134 29 January 1975 The Tukwila Planning Commission, at its regular meeting conducted Thursday, 23 January 1975,' reviewed. both the car- wash addition and sign construction proposed for the existing Texaco station located at Tukwila Parkway and Christianson Road. The site plan of the proposed car-wash addition was approved as presented. However, the proposed sign was approved on the condition it be revised so as to make the secondary use (car - wash) identification no more than sixty (60) percent .of the size of the primary (Texaco) identification as proposed. Seattle, Washington '98134 31 December 1974 In response to your letter of 18 December 1974, I assume you refer to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) composed of Andover Industrial Park landowners and which is responsible for enforcing the private, self - imposed restrictive covenants of the Industrial Park. Should my assumption be correct, you may verify the meeting time and place by contacting Mr. Charles Baker, Executive Director, Tukwila Industrial Council, at 575 - 0109. Since the normal precedure dictates the private ACC reviews any proposed construction and, following their re- view, the Tukwila Planning Commission, sitting as the Board of Architectural Review (BAR), must also review the proposed plans, it is strongly suggested you so contact Mr. Baker at your earliest convenience. The Tukwila Planning Commission conducts it regular monthly meeting at 8:00 p.m. of the fourth. Thursday of each month. Thus, the next regular meeting is scheduled for 23 January. 1975.. It would be to your benefit to have the plans reviewed by the ACC prior to the required BAR review. The Planning Commission meeting will be held in City Hall Council Chambers, 14475 - 59th Avenue South, Tukwila. Attached are three sets of plans providing you the required details of these improvements which will conform to our exist- ing station architecture and color combinations. You will note we plan on removing the present Module -Type TEXACO Sign and replace it with a smaller low -level interior illuminated plastic sign. An additional 40 foot approach is shown on Christianson Road, which was briefly discussed with Mr. Gary Kucinski of your office, and we would like to include this in our proposed improvements. We would appreciate your analysis of these plans and the opportunity for them to be considered by the Architectural Control Committee during their regular January meeting. Please advise if you have any question and briefly outline the details of the January meeting so we may have a member of our organization in attendance to respond to any questions from the Architectural Control Committee.
