Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. This review limited to speculative tenant space only - special fire permits may be necessary depending on detailed description of intended use. 2. The critical storage height for high -piled combustible stock in closely packed piles is 15 feet. (UFC 9.110). Storage above 15 feet would necessitate increasing the sprinkler density to extra hazard (UFC 81.105), and adding smoke removal capabilities. (UFC 81.107) 3. Storage may not be closer than 36 inches in all directions to ceiling -hung "Space or Unit" heaters. (UFC 10.302) 4. Warehouses designed for high -piled stock shall establish and maintain aisleways of not less than 44 inches to provide access to all exits and fire department access doors.
