No changes will be made to the plans unless approved by the Engineer and the Tukwila Building Division. 2. Electrical permit shall be obtained through the Washington State Division of Labor and Industries and all electrical work will be inspected by that agency (872-6363). 3. All mechanical work shall be under separate permit through the City of Tukwila. 4. All permits, inspection records and approved plans shall be posted at job site prior to start of any contruction. 5. Any exposed insulations backing material to have Flame Spread Rating of 25 or less, and material shall tear identification showing the fire performance rating thereof. 6. All construction to be done in conformance with approved plans and requirements of the Uniform Building Code (1988 Edition), Uniform Mechanical Code (1988 Edition), Washignton State Energy Code (1989 Edition), and Washington Stae Regulations for Barrier Free Facility (1989 Edition), 7. Validity of Permit. The issuance or granting of this permit or approval of plans, specifications and computations shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of this code or of any other regulation or ordinance of this jurisdiction. No permit presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this code shall be valid. VanDusen, Mayor August 10, 1989 Fire Department Review Control Number 89 -052 Re: Cello Bag - 17100 West Valley Highway Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. No point in a sprinklered building may be more than 200 feet from an exit, measured along the path of travel. (UBC 3302) (UFC 12.101) Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. (UFC 12.104b) Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 12.114. EXIT signs shall be installed at required exit doorways and where otherwise necessary to clearly indicate the direction of egress. Signs shall be of a contrasting color with the surrounding area and shall have letters not less than six inches high with a minimum letter width of 3/4 ". (UFC 12.114a & 12.114b) 2. All modifications to sprinkler systems shall have the written approval of the Washington Surveying & Rating Bureau, Factory Mutual Engineering or Industrial Risk Insurers, then by the Fire Department. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved drawings. (City Ordinance #1141) (NFPA 13, 1-9.1) (UFC 10.307) Maintain sprinkler protection for all enclosed areas. VanDusen, Mayor Page number 2 Contact the Tukwila Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau to witness all required inspections and tests. (NFPA 13, 1-10.2) (UFC 10.307) 3. All electrical wiring is to be inspected by the State Electrical Inspector, Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. (UGC 10.104) All wall and ceiling materials constructed of wood, shall be fire retardant treated. (UFC 10.401) All interior wall covering materials shall be fire - resistive or shall be treated to be fire - resistive, so as to result in a flame- spread rating as required by UFC Appendix VI -C tables 42A and 42B. A certificate of the flame spread rating is required to be delivered to the Tukwila Fire Department. (UBC 4204) (UFC 10.401) There shall be no enclosed usable space under stairways in an exit enclosure, nor shall the open space under such stairways be used for any purpose. (UBC 3309 -F) (UFC 12.109c) This review limited to speculative tenant space only - special fire permits may be necessary depending on detailed description of intended use.
