Dear Sir: The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following concerns: 1. The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10 B : C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3-1.1) (UFC 10.301b) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinents, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor. (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6) (UFC 10.301) Extinguishers shall be located so as to be in plain view (if at all possible), or if not in plain view, they shall be identified with a sign stating, "Fire Extinguisher," with an arrow pointing to the unit. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). FLOOR PLAN WITH NEW IBM AREA EXPANSION L_ 1 January 9, 1990 RE: Tukwila Building Permit #5811 Issued 11/16/89 Site Address: 455 Andover Park East Tukwila, WA Project: Boeing (IBM Area Expansion) Requested change in wall fabrication In lieu of 6" 18GA studs and standard drywall as shown on approved permit set of drawings - we propose to install Donn Wall system (with exception of loading dock area) to curtail a major dust problem for the IBM work bench area - were we to use standard drywall. Our intention is to core drill through the floor track approximately every 4 feet and install a support stud with quickset cement. The stud will go through the slab into the dirt and will serve as a wall support. The ceiling track is 20 gauge, floor track - 25 gauge, studs - standard Donn wall 18 gauge rolled edge studs. The vinyl wrapped GWB board is clipped to the Donn studs par a typical instal- lation. 45 degree angle braces at corners will be used. The loading dock and corridor will utilize standard GWB construction within the loading dock and corridor area. The office side (without a ceiling) will utilize the wall construction requested as a change.
