Machinery, please note the following: 1. The installation of a Halon 1301 system in the new lab is certainly a good idenand shows interest in the newest advent in fire protection. Extending the sprinkler system to cover this area would also be acceptable to this department. I would also like to suggest that some type of extinguisher system (perhaps Halon 1301) be installed in the computer & tape storage rooms, especially with the addition of the new raised floor with its enclosed air space. 2. Air conditioning and heating ducts servicing corridors required as exit - ways shall have fire dampers installed in the ducts per UBC Standard 43 -7. 3. Hose stations (standpipes) should be installed per City Ordinance #730. Total of (7) stations for the four involved buildings. Please'include these items in your review to the architect.
