MARIANNE GRAUPE - THERAPEUTIC MASSEUSE INTERPRETATION REVIEW
INTERPRETATION OF USE REVIEW
To the
Planning Department
of the City of Tukwila
14208, 55th Ave. S
Seattle, Wash. 98168
March 10, 1975
From the City Clerk's office I received notice that my business
should be carried on within a commercial zone rather than the
residential zone I live at present.
Since my !'business" is and in the future will be a very small
one, I would like to request that the Board of Adjustments
review the interpretation of the Tukwila Mcinicipal Code, Sect.
18.12.050 with regard to my business license application.
I should like to explain that the atmosphere of our residential
neighborhood will in no way be impaired by me doing my work as
a therapeutic masseuse. Since one treatment ta.kes..between- 45 minutes
and one hour, there will be at the `most 'two oafs .'parked' in front
of our house'(one for the patient being treated and possibly
another car for a patient waiting for his or her turn). Also,
I do not plan on putting up a sign.
As explained before, I do not operate a Massage Parlor, Sauna
or similar establishment. I am working part -time at a clinic for
a modest salary and hope to be able to treat a few private patients
at my home now and then in my spare. time.
It would be totally impossible for me to earn the money to
for the necessary space within a business district.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely yours
Zic . Thera peut is I4 ass 7 1JL
