The Tukwila Planning Commission, at its regular meeting conducted 25 September
1975, reviewed and approved the site plan submitted for the proposed addition
to the existing Nordstrom Distribution Center.

Chairman Mettler returned and assumed the chair.
Mr. Lamb asked to be excused since he has out -of -town guests. Chairman Mettler
excused Mr. Lamb at 9:35 P.M.
IV D - ANNEXATION - 52nd Avenue and Interurban (Gjerde)
Mr. Crutchfield briefly described the location and size of the annexation
proposed by the property owner, a Mrs. Gjerde.
Mr. Sneva, referring to the Staff Report, stated agreement that small annexa-
tions are generally undesireable. However could see no significant problems
with this particular proposal.
Discussion ensued regarding history of previous annexation efforts in this area.
Motion by Mr. Zepp, seconded by Mr. Sneva and carried to recommend the City
Council accept the proposed annexation and, due to the subsequent need for a
Comprehensive Land Use Plan amendment, grant a waiver from the restrictions
of Resolution #489 for both the Plan amendment and rezone application.
BOARD OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
V A, S, an Nordstrom Building Addition
Mr. Crutchfield described the proposed addition as depicted in the site plan
displayed for the Commission.
Motion by Mr. Link, seconded by Mr. Kirsop and carried to approve the site plan
as presented.
V B - Landscape Plan - #255 Southcenter South
Mr. Crutchfield described the landscape plan proposed for #255 Southcenter
South and noted the plan was designed by Tom Berger, noted for his use of
hardy trees as proposed in this plan.
Motion by Mr. Kirsop, seconded by F1r. Link and carried to approve the landscape
plan as presented.
Mr. Sneva requested he be excused from the meeting. Chairman Mettler excused
Mr. Sneva at 10:15 P.M.
VI A - Identification Signs at Southcenter South
Mr. Crutchfield explained that Southcenter South has submitted an application to
erect two (2) freestanding ground -level signs each of 52 square feet of face area
to be located on either side of the entrance and identifying the 85 -acre business
park.

AGENDA ITEM V A Site Plan - Nordstrom Addition
The Nordstrom Distribution Center on Andover Park East has proposed a building
addition of 59,000 square feet. Added to their existing 107,000 square feet a
total of 166,000 square feet of building area will be achieved utilizing 54% of
the land area. Sufficient parking is provided at 171 spaces and all requirements.
of Chapter 18.32 are complied with. Staff recommends approval as presented.
