We are enclosing• the Flood Control Zone application and plans
as submitted to this office by qtr. Heinz Kckervogt. for the
construction of the Mr. and Mrs. Rey Long reside:X:6 adjacent
to the Green River at South 133rd Street and 57th Avenu® South
in Tukwila, Washington.
The maxieua water .surface elevation for the Green . River at
this location has been determined by the U. S.'Army Corps of
Engineers to be 17.5 feet - mean sea level datum.
.• Rock riprap has been placed on the river bank of this property»
Therefore, we recommend approval • of the application subject.
to the condition that this development be at elevation 18.5
feet or higher. This would provide a minimua of two' feet •
of freeboard above the maxima Green River water surfaee.for
flood protection.
