Dear Mario:
The short Subdivision Committee has completed their review of your boundary line
adjustment application and approved the application.
The next step in the process is to record the boundary line adjustment with King County.
I am enclosing a hand out that explains the recording procedures. If you would like a
recorded copy of the documents you will need to take two copies plus the originals to the
County for recording. The boundary line adjustment is not complete until the recording
occurs and copies of the recorded documents are provided to the Depaitinent of
Community Development. The signature of the Chairman of the Short Subdivision
Committee certifies that your boundary line adjustment application is ready for recording.
You will need to pay the recording fees and submit your approved original boundary line
adjustment to the King County Department of Public Records (206- 296 - 1570).
After recording, the County returns the recorded original to the City of Tukwila within 4
to 6 weeks, at which time your boundary line adjustment is considered complete. You
can shorten this processing time by hand- delivering a copy of the recorded boundary line
adjustment to me.

Once your short plat or boundary line adjustment has received final approval and has been
signed by the Chair of the Short Subdivision Committee the planner will return the originals to
you to be recorded. You can either mail them to the Assessor's office with the required number
of copies and a check for the recording fee or take the original documents to be recorded yourself
at the King County Administration Building in downtown Seattle.
STEPS:
1. You will need to make two copies of letter or legal size documents. Record of survey (18"
by 24 ") documents require the mylar plus two paper copies.
2. Go the Assessor's Office on the 7 floor to have the Department of Assessments block
signed. This can take up to two days, if you wish you can leave the packet of originals,
copies and a check with Assessments and they will forward it on to the Recorder's office
when it has been signed.
3. Next go to the Recorder's office on the 3 floor to get the documents recorded. Letter and
legal sized documents must have the correct margins and the required information on the
front page. Documents in record of survey format (18" by 24 ") are recorded at the
Condominium and Plat desk. Paper copies of record of survey documents are not acceptable,
only the mylar with the surveyor's original signature may be recorded.
4. Return a recorded copy of your documents to the City to complete the approval process. The
City cannot accept building permit submittals on any new lot until the new parcel number has
been received from King County, which generally takes a week or two.

I am enclosing a marked up copy of the boundary line adjustment sheets for the property
at 14201 Interurban Avenue South. Please note the corrections that need to be made to
sheets one and two.
I am still waiting for the Affidavit of Ownership from the Southland Corporation. The
boundary line adjustment cannot proceed further until we have permission from the
current owner to change the property lines, nor can we approve the Administrative
Design Review application, L03 -017 for property without the owner's approval. If the
Southland Corporation is still the owner at the time we are ready to approve the lot
consolidation, then you will need to have a representative from that company sign the
mylar as well.
We are issuing the SEPA determination on May 9, 2003. I received comments from
Cyndy Knighton, Traffic Engineer, and am enclosing a copy for your review. There is a
14 -day comment period on the SEPA. You need to submit a Tree Clearing Permit for
review and approval. After that, if we have the permission of the owner (Southland
Corporation at this point) we can approve the Administrative Design Review and the
Boundary Line Adjustment. If you have any questions, please call me at 206 -431 -3661.
