RENTON TUKWILA CITY COUNCILS
MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER The meeting of the Renton Tukwila Councils Joint Meeting was called to
order and chaired by Tukwila Council President Mae Harris.
PRESENT WERE: CITY OF RENTON Kathy Koelker, Council President; Nancy Matthews;
Toni Nelson; John Reed; Richard Stredicke.
CITY OF TUKWILA Mae Harris, Council President; Marilyn Stoknes;
Joan Hernandez; Dennis Robertson; Clarence Moriwaki.
Subjects of mutual interest discussed by Council Members were:
1. Transportation Issues
a. 27th and Strander Extensions
b. Oakesdale
2. Fire District #1 Annexation
a. Annexation boundaires, Areas
b. Interlocal Agreement Issues
c. Black River Quarry Incineration Site
Staff Members from both Cities gave presentations and explained
the issues under discussion.
Members of both Councils expressed their concern and voiced
their ideas on the agenda items.
There were no definite agreements arrived at and the Councils
agreed to meet at another time.
There being no further discussion, the Joint Meeting adjourned
at 10:00 P.M.
