Five of these trees are in the four to six inch category. One tree is a twenty -eight inch cedar. We are proposing to replace these trees according to the guidelines with the exception of size. Because the property has an unattractive ecology block wall, we are proposing to plant Dwarf Alberta Spruce in front of it to hide its appearance. This verity of tree will grow no higher than twelve feet and therefore not interfere with the view of the existing home. Because Dwarf trees grow so slow they are very expensive. Because the trees are so expensive, we are asking that an exception of size be granted so that a two to three foot tree will be acceptable. The full grown trees should sufficiently hide the existing ecology blocks and be a beautiful addition to this lot. Please call me if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss this plan at 244 -0122. Thank you. Sincerely, obb Kenyon General Partner ite,.r.0 Y.a'.rA JAN a 9 1996 COMML NITY* , DEVELOPMENT Date: 22- Dec -95 10:36 From: GARY - SCHULZ (GARY SCHULZ) To: JOHN -J Copies -to: JACK,STEVE Subject: Kenyon Trees, Permit B95 -0307. Message -id: 1B8ADA3001DEDEDE I have visited the site and conducted some measurements to help Rob Kenyon for this building permit. Even with the new Code changes, the tree permit is required. Slope gradients exceed the 20 percent threshold, about 26 %, in the area where trees will be removed. Steve and I have determined that the young maple clusters should be replaced by using the larger stem /cluster. The large cedar will need to have 8 replacement trees because it measured to be 28 inches DBH. A total of 13 trees are needed and I gave him some direction for the plan. Let me know when he submits the planting plan or ?s about other requirments in the Tree Ord.
