MARGINAL WY S. - BOEING: CITY OF TUKWILA SEPA EXEMPTION CITY OF TUKWILA DETERMINATION OF SEPA EXEMPTION DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL: Carry out fix on an emergency basis now, which includes: Provide riprap buttress at 2:1 slope to OHWM /above OHWM geogrid at minimum 1.75:1 (requires move toe out to original location, as currently less than 1:1). About 650 tons of rock and 475 CY of geogrid /backfill will be needed. The cost range of this work is estimated between $85,000 and $100,000. SSPA.BZK � EMERGENCY REPAIR OF RIVERBANK ON EAST MARGINAL WAY SOUTH SEPA Permit exemption, File #L94 -0029 This exemption has been approved subject to the following conditions: 1. All emergency exemptions are subject to revocation, suspension or revision if additional information indicates that the project does not constitute an emergency. 2. Equipment and construction methods shall use best management practices to ensure protection of existing vegetation in the project area. 3. To reduce erosion, work on the toe of the bank shall be scheduled for low flows /low tide. 4. A silt loam topsoil shall be used as fill material in the vegetated geogrid portion, to provide adequate nutrients and moisture retention. 5. Vegetation and live cuttings shall consist of native, locally- collected species (e.g. willow, red osier dogwood, alder, etc.), to ensure acclimatization and compatibility with the local environment. 6. Planting of the live cuttings shall be accomplished within 24 hours of harvesting to promote sprouting and survival; and cuttings shall be kept wet and cool. 7.
