The construction consists of a 3' -10" high loading platform, which is 115.67' by 44' in area, 2. The platform is located in a fully paved area, about 100 ft. west of the 14 -01 building, 3. Portions of the paved area and the asphalt driveway will be removed and reconcreted, and 4. No construction will occur within the Shoreline zone. Based on this information, I determine that this action is a remodeling or minor alteration of an existing private facility and is exempt pursuant to WAC 197 -11- 800(3). The Scope of Work on this project includes the construction of a loading dock without roof that is 3'10" high and approximately 5,263 sq. ft. in area. 12. Location of the proposal. Give sufficient information for a person to understand the precise location of your proposed project, including a street address, if any, and section, township, and range, if known. If a proposal would occur over a range of area, provide the range or boundaries of the sites(s). Provide a legal description, site plan, vicinity map, and topographic map, if reasonably available. While you should submit any plans. required by the agency, you are not required to duplicate maps or detailed plans submitted with any permit applications related to this check list. General description of the site (underline one): Flat, rolling, hilly, steep slopes, mountainous, other b. What is the steepest slope on the site (approximate percent slop)? None. c. Below the site paving the ground consists of about 4 ft. of fill which overlays silty sand, the alluvial material of the Duwamish River. d. Are there surface indications or history of unstable soils in the immediate vicinity? If so, describe. No. The area has been almost completely paved for 40 years. e. Describe the purpose, type, and approximate quantities of any filling or grading proposed. Indicate source of fill. Fill is proposed to replace any material removed during excavation for foundation and for any contaminated soil found in area of cut. Quantities: approximately 1047 cubic yards. Source to be determined, but material will be secured from licensed local sand and gravel supplier. f. Could erosion occur as a result of clearing, construction, or use? If so, generally describe. No. g. About what percent of the site will be covered with impervious surfaces after project construction (for example, asphalt or buildings)? Presently the site is covered 100% with asphalt and buildings. After work is completed, asphalt that has been removed will be replaced or covered by loading dock bringing the percentage back to 100 %. What types of emissions to the air would result from the proposal (i.e., dust, automobile odors, industrial wood smoke) during construction and when the project is completed? If any, generally describe and give approximate quantities if known. During construction, there will be some noise and dust from equipment in project area. b. Are there any off -site sources of emissions or odor that may affect your proposal? If so, generally describe. None. c. Proposed measures to reduce or control emissions or other impacts to air, if any: Construction activity will be confined to daylight hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. 3. Water a. Surface: 1) Is there any surface water body on or in the immediate vicinity of the site (including year -round and seasonal streams, salt water, lakes, ponds, wetlands)? If yes, describe type and provide names. If appropriate, state what stream or river it flows into. This project is 240' at its nearest point to the Duwamish Waterway. Currently, runoff from area is collected in cotch basins that connect to storm drain lines and discharge through existing outfalls to the river. Prior to construction of the Boeing plant in 1930's. c. Describe any structures on the site. The project site contains one large Boeing owned manufacturing buildings (14 -01) on the west side of East Marginal Way. Further to the west, the site is bounded by the Duwamish waterway. Several small support buildings are also at the site.
