MINUTES
In the absence of Mayor Van Dusen, Council President Harris called
the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 7:10 p.m.
MABEL J. HARRIS (COUNCIL PRESIDENT), JOE H. DUFFIE, EDGAR D. BAUCH,
MARILYN G. STOKNES, JOAN HERHANDEZ, DENNIS L. ROBERTSON,
CLARENCE B. MORIWAKI.
Maxine Anderson (City Clerk), Rick Beeler (Planning Director),
John Colgrove (City Attorney), Ross Earnst (Public Works Director),
Don Williams (Parks and Recreation Director).
Ross Earnst, Public Works Director, explained Project 2 Southcenter
Boulevard, has increased in cost. There is a savings however
of $1,219,000 in local funds because of increased federal funds.
Council President Harris opened the Public Hearing at 7:20 P.M.
There being no audience comments, Council President Harris closed
the Public Hearing at 7:21 p.m.
Mayor Van Dusen arrived at the meeting at 7:20 p.m.
Councilmember Robertson stated he was in favor of this 6 -year
Transportation Improvement Program and he has worked on it in
committee. It is important as a document to give to agencies for
a schedule.
Councilmember Bauch stated the committee requested Projects No. R -1
through R -12 be deleted.
Council President Harris explained Projects No. Rl through R12
were in the meeting package by error.
MOVED BY ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY STOKNES, THAT THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION
BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION CARRIED.
City Attorney Colgrove read A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Tukwila, Washington, Adopting a Six -Year Transportation
Improvement Program, and Directing the Same To Be Filed With the
State Secretary of Transportation and the Urban Arterial Board by
title only.
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY ROBERTSON, THAT THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION
AS READ BE ADOPTED. MOTION CARRIED.
MOVED BY BAUCH, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, THAT THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL BE ADJOURNED. MOTION CARRIED.
